Three Suspects Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit in Stolen Truck Linked to Beaumont ATM Theft Attempt

Three suspects are behind bars after an early morning police pursuit in Beaumont ended with a crash and multiple arrests connected to an attempted ATM theft.

According to the Beaumont Police Department, officers were dispatched around 4:49 a.m. to the Holiday Inn Express at 7140 Eastex Freeway after receiving a report of a stolen Ford F-250. The vehicle’s owner was able to track its location in real time and provided updates to responding officers.

Police quickly located the stolen truck and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over, sparking a pursuit that crossed into Orange County. The chase came to an abrupt end when the F-250 struck a telephone pole. All three suspects then fled on foot.

Officers at the scene noted a heavy-duty chain attached to the truck’s hitch — a tool commonly used in ATM theft attempts. K-9 Sergeant Lisenby and his partner, Loki, assisted in the manhunt, successfully tracking and apprehending all three suspects after an extensive search.

Investigators later confirmed that the trio had attempted to break into an ATM in Beaumont before being located in the stolen vehicle.

The suspects were identified as:

Hasan – charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, Theft (Third Degree), and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity

Colbert and Skinner – each charged with Evading Arrest on Foot and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity

All three were booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.

The Beaumont Police Department commended the swift teamwork of responding officers — including K-9 Loki — for ensuring a safe resolution and the recovery of the stolen vehicle.

This case remains under investigation, and authorities say additional charges may follow as evidence is reviewed.
