Mobile Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that happened late Tuesday night on Old Shell Road.
Officers were called to Wilmer Hall, located at 3811 Old Shell Road, around 11:31 p.m. on October 21, 2025, after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 28-year-old Amiayia White dead from a gunshot wound inside the building.
Investigators say the shooting was committed by a man known to the victim. On Wednesday, police arrested 21-year-old David Smith, who was later taken to Metro Jail.
Detectives are continuing to investigate what led up to the incident.
