Police are investigating an early-morning shooting that took place Sunday in the 1600 block of Post Road, marking the city’s second shooting incident of the night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), officers were called to the area around 1:25 a.m. following reports of a person shot. Before officers arrived, the victim was transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle. Their current condition has not been released.
Investigators said the suspect has not yet been identified, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
Authorities also noted that this incident does not appear to be connected to an earlier shooting that occurred near the downtown square later that same night.
