Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed Monday night on Greenwood Road.
According to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office, the victim has been identified as Dwayne Kinchen, 37, of Shreveport.
Police say the incident happened around 9:20 p.m. on October 20, 2025, on U.S. Highway 80 (Greenwood Road). Kinchen was hit by a passing vehicle and taken to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, where he was pronounced dead about 10:00 p.m.
The coroner’s office confirmed Kinchen’s identity through fingerprint comparison. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
The Shreveport Police Department is investigating the fatal crash. No information has been released yet about the driver or the vehicle involved.
