A woman has been arrested and charged with murder after police say she ran over her longtime partner with an SUV, killing him outside a North Las Vegas Olive Garden restaurant.
According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, officers were called around Saturday evening, October 18, 2025, to the Olive Garden located in the 1200 block of East Craig Road for reports of an unresponsive man in the parking lot.
When officers arrived, they found 40-year-old Bryan Hicks lying under the front tire of a red Mitsubishi Outlander. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested 40-year-old Andrea Ann Roman at the scene. She was booked into the North Las Vegas Detention Center on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon enhancement, according to court records.
Investigators said Roman and Hicks had been in a relationship for 20 years and shared eight children. Though she referred to Hicks as her husband, the couple were not legally married.
An arrest report states that witness dashcam footage showed the pair arguing before Roman turned her vehicle toward Hicks and accelerated, striking him. Roman told officers she thought the SUV was in reverse and claimed she only intended to scare him.
Police said a bystander with a concealed firearm ordered Roman to stop and wait for officers to arrive. Her 4-year-old daughter was reportedly in the back seat at the time.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Bryan Hicks, 40, of North Las Vegas.
The investigation remains ongoing.
