Man Killed, Another Injured in Early Morning Shooting in Huntsville

A man has died and another was injured following a shooting early Sunday morning in Huntsville.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, officers were called to the 200 block of Seminole Drive around 4 a.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, identified as 34-year-old Alexander Dominique Dennis Sr., was transported to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.

Police said a second man was also injured during the incident. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening, and he was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle for treatment.

The Major Crimes Unit is investigating the case. So far, no arrests have been made, and police have not released details about what led to the shooting.
