Kansas City police are investigating after a man was found shot to death early Tuesday morning near the I-35 and I-70 interchange.
Officers were called just after midnight to an apartment complex near 9th and Jefferson Streets, where they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside one of the units. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man has been identified as 38-year-old Vincent Taylor of Kansas City, according to police. Detectives with the Kansas City Police Department’s Homicide Unit have taken over the investigation.
No arrests have been made, and authorities have not released any information on possible suspects or a motive.
