Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a Greenville man late Monday night.
According to the Greenville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Edison Street around 11 p.m. on November 3 after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency personnel from Pafford and the Washington County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene, but the victim—identified as 35-year-old Darnell King of Greenville—was pronounced dead.
Police said witnesses were being interviewed as detectives continued to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting. A motive has not yet been determined, and no arrests have been made.
