Police say 41-year-old Donald Larimer of Chiloquin was arrested following a joint investigation by Klamath Falls Police and Oregon State Police into two similar sexual assault cases.
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A 41-year-old Chiloquin man has been arrested following an extensive investigation into a reported rape and kidnapping that occurred in Klamath Falls late last month.
According to the Klamath Falls Police Department (KFPD), officers were dispatched to Sky Lakes Medical Center on Saturday, September 27, 2025, after receiving a report of a rape.
When officers arrived, they learned that a passerby had discovered a female victim distraught and crying near Northern Heights Boulevard. The passerby told police that upon making contact, the woman said she had been raped and was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Due to the severity of the incident, KFPD detectives assumed the investigation. The victim told investigators that a male driving a white truck had approached her, forcibly picked her up, and put her into the vehicle. When she tried to escape, the suspect allegedly physically assaulted her before driving to a secluded area, where the sexual assault occurred.
As the investigation continued, detectives learned that Oregon State Police (OSP) were investigating a separate sexual assault with similar details, including a matching vehicle description. OSP investigators had identified Donald Larimer, 41, of Chiloquin, as the suspect in their case.
After receiving information from state police, Klamath Falls detectives conducted their own inquiry, developing probable cause to arrest Larimer.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, officers with the Klamath Falls Police Department conducted a traffic stop and took Larimer into custody without incident.
Larimer was booked into the Klamath County Jail on the following charges:
Kidnapping in the First Degree
Rape in the First Degree
Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree
Sodomy in the First Degree
Sexual Abuse in the First Degree
KFPD and OSP continue to work jointly on the case, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
