Police in Canton are investigating a deadly shooting that left a 21-year-old man dead Monday morning at an apartment complex on the city’s west side.
According to Canton Police Lt. Dennis Garren, officers were called to the 3900 block of Tuscarawas Street West, near Aultman Avenue NW, around 8 a.m. after reports of multiple gunshots in the area.
When officers arrived, they found Daryle J. Bryant, 21, of Jackson Township, suffering from gunshot wounds outside the complex. Bryant was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but later succumbed to his wounds.
Family members have been notified, police said.
Detectives with the Canton Police Department are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. So far, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released information regarding any suspects or a possible motive.
