A 28-year-old air hostess employed with a private airline was found dead in her rented apartment in Rajendranagar on Friday, in what police suspect to be a case of suicide.
Authorities said the woman, originally from Jammu, was discovered hanging in her room by her flatmate and colleagues on the morning of October 24. The discovery came hours after a small gathering at the apartment the previous night.
Police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother. “We are examining all angles, including the sequence of events before the death,” an investigating officer said, adding that statements from friends and co-workers are being recorded.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death. Officials stated that no suicide note has been recovered so far, and the investigation remains ongoing.
