The Dedham community is mourning the loss of Abigail “Abby” Myers, a beloved wife, mother, and creative professional who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 49.
Abby was the wife of Joseph Weiner and the devoted mother of Emmett Weiner. She was also the daughter of Rose and Michael Myers and sister to Daniel Myers.
Born in Westfield, New Jersey, Abby spent much of her early life in Fairfield, Connecticut, before moving to Massachusetts, where she raised her family in Belmont and later in Dedham.
She attended Solomon Schechter Day School, Ezra Academy, and Fairfield High School, before graduating from Brandeis University. Abby went on to have a fulfilling career as a graphic designer and communications manager, known for her creativity and professionalism.
In addition to her design work, Abby had a passion for jewelry making and creative writing. She worked with several nonprofit organizations, including AIDS Action and Hunt Alternatives, and was a dedicated member of Beth El Temple Center in Belmont.
Friends and family remember Abby as warm, kind, and deeply caring — someone who made meaningful connections wherever she went.
“She had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and valued,” her family said. “Her warmth, humor, and love will be forever remembered.”
A funeral service for Abby Myers will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Michael and Rose Myers from Monday, October 27 through Sunday, November 2, with visiting hours from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Abby’s memory.
Her passing leaves a lasting void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her kindness, creativity, and spirit will continue to inspire those she loved.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph Weiner, devoted mother of Emmett Weiner, and loving daughter of Rose and Michael Myers. Abby is also survived by her brother, Daniel Myers.
Born in Westfield, New Jersey, Abby later lived in Fairfield, Connecticut, before settling in Massachusetts, where she raised her family in Belmont and Dedham. She attended Solomon Schechter Day School, Ezra Academy, Fairfield High School, and Brandeis University.
A graphic designer and communications manager, Abby’s creativity extended beyond her profession. She was also a talented jewelry maker and writer, admired for her artistic eye and thoughtful nature.
Throughout her career, she worked with organizations including AIDS Action and Hunt Alternatives, and was an active member of Beth El Temple Center in Belmont. Friends and colleagues remember her for her dedication to her work and her kindness toward everyone she met.
“She had a special gift for making others feel appreciated and understood,” her family said in a statement. “Her warmth, humor, and love for life touched all who knew her.”
