Authorities have confirmed that human remains found last week at a residence on Kelly Jordan Road in Smiths Falls belong to Robbie Thomson, who had been missing since October 2023.
The identification was announced by police and confirmed by Thomson’s mother, Mary Helen, who expressed profound grief and gratitude to the community for their continued prayers, tips, and support throughout the search.
Investigators had previously classified the case as a homicide. On October 29, 2025, three individuals — Christopher Fenton, Erin Mackie, and Joshua Belfiori — were arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Thomson’s death.
Police executed a search warrant at the Kelly Jordan Road residence, which is co-owned by Fenton and Robert Lambert, a senior who went missing in 2018 after befriending Fenton. Although rumours suggested Lambert may have relocated to the United States, investigators confirmed there is no record of him ever crossing the border.
The discovery of Thomson’s remains has deepened concern among residents about potential links between the property and other missing persons cases, though authorities have not commented on whether additional investigations are underway.
