Toledo Police Investigating Fatal Shooting That Claimed Life of 19-Year-Old Jazmine Queen

A deadly shooting early Sunday morning in a Toledo parking lot left one young woman dead and two others injured, according to the Toledo Police Department.

Officers were called to the 5200 block of Hill Avenue around 3 a.m. on November 2 after reports of gunfire in the parking lot outside “The Weekend” nightclub. Upon arrival, officers found 19-year-old Jazmine Queen suffering from at least one gunshot wound. First responders rendered aid at the scene before she was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Two other women, ages 18 and 20, were also wounded in the shooting. The 18-year-old victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle and remains in serious condition. The 20-year-old fled the scene after being shot but was later located by Toledo Fire and Rescue crews near Dorr and Haven. Her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators believe the violence began after a fight broke out inside the nightclub and spilled into the parking lot, where multiple people began firing weapons. At this time, no suspects have been identified.

Toledo Police Lt. Dan Gerken confirmed that the case is being treated as a homicide and that detectives are working to identify those involved.
