Authorities say a Camden man has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of his brother during a confrontation over the weekend.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez, 28-year-old Anarkis Delgado has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his brother, 29-year-old Raymond Delgado. He also faces several additional charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to possess firearms, all second-degree offenses.
Police were called to the 500 block of Pearl Street around 11:09 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found Raymond Delgado lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12:31 p.m.
After an investigation by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department, detectives determined that Anarkis Delgado was responsible for the shooting. Authorities said he later surrendered at the Camden County Police Department and was taken into custody without incident.
He is currently being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.
