A St. Michael man is facing domestic assault charges after deputies say he attacked his wife during an argument while their two children were nearby.
According to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 6:18 p.m. Monday at a home in St. Michael.
Deputies say 38-year-old Sucky became angry after drinking and arguing with his wife about clutter on the bathroom counter. The argument escalated, and Sucky allegedly threw things, pushed and slapped his wife, and then picked her up and threw her down the stairs.
Investigators say the assault was recorded by the victim, and in the video, the couple’s two children could be heard yelling for him to stop.
When questioned by deputies, Sucky admitted to throwing items but denied hitting his wife. He also reportedly told deputies that he planned to confront her after his release from jail, saying, “there will be a fight tomorrow.”
Sucky is charged with two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault — one for intentionally causing bodily harm and another for causing fear of immediate harm or death.
He remains in custody at the Wright County Jail.
