Police Investigate Fatal Collision on A414 Near Chipping Ongar

Detectives are investigating a fatal crash involving a car and a motorcycle on the A414 near Chipping Ongar.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 12pm on Sunday, 19 October, following reports of a serious collision.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s from Roydon, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers as enquiries continue.

Essex Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
