4 people found dead in Fullerton from possible overdose, police say

Authorities have launched an investigation after four people were found dead from a suspected overdose inside a home in Fullerton on Monday morning, according to police.

Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Wilshire Avenue around 11 a.m. after receiving a distress call from a man who reported that his friends had overdosed and were not breathing, the Anaheim Police Department said in a statement.

When officers arrived, they discovered four unresponsive individuals inside the home. Despite immediate medical efforts, all four were pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Fullerton Police Department have taken over the investigation and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths, including what substances may have been involved.

Authorities said the victims have not yet been publicly identified pending notification of next of kin.

“There is no immediate threat to the public,” police emphasized in their release.

Investigators are now awaiting toxicology results and interviewing witnesses to better understand what led to the tragic incident. The case remains active.
